Since 3rd grade I’ve suffered with major depression, anxiety, and OCD. Throughout the years, I have tried committing suicide 4 times. Each string on the marionette stands for each time I attempted. The two broken strings were the times that I couldn’t pull myself through to be strong, and was admitted into psychiatric treatment. The two strings still holding on are the times I brought myself above my thoughts, and got help myself. The marionette itself stands for the constant control that other people have had on me my whole life. But now, I’m breaking away from them and doing what I need to do to make myself happy, not others. Remember to always hold on.
